Electrical Project Manager

MatchBox Consulting Group is working with a well-established Western Canadian electrical contractor that is expanding its project management team in the Surrey / Langley area.

The company delivers electrical construction across industrial, process, agricultural, and commercial environments. Their projects keep critical facilities running and support industries that drive the Western Canadian economy.

They are looking for a Project Manager who understands electrical work from the ground up and enjoys taking ownership of projects, working with field teams, and building strong relationships with clients.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the centre of the business.

You will work with experienced field leaders, estimators, and clients to plan, coordinate, and deliver electrical construction projects across a diverse portfolio.

Expect a mix of:

• industrial and process environments
• commercial and specialty electrical work
• projects that require practical thinking and strong coordination

You will have the autonomy to run projects properly, supported by a team that understands electrical construction.

What This Role Involves

• Managing electrical construction projects from planning through completion
• Coordinating crews, materials, and subcontractors
• Working with clients and internal teams to keep projects moving
• Supporting estimating and change management when needed
• Maintaining strong safety, quality, and schedule performance

The Type of Background That Works Well

Many people in this role have:

• A Journeyperson or Red Seal electrical background or strong electrical technical training
• Experience coordinating or managing electrical construction projects
• Exposure to industrial, commercial, agricultural, or process environments
• An interest in both project delivery and estimating
