MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Jr PM / Estimator for our client, a well-established electrical contractor based in Victoria, to join their Service division. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career electrical professional looking to step into a hybrid role that combines technical estimating, project management, and client relationship development within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify client needs and help uncover new service project opportunities
• Prepare project estimates and submit competitive tenders
• Review contracts and identify risk or onerous clauses
• Manage project financials including billing, purchasing, labour, and schedules
• Coordinate with field staff, internal teams, and clients to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, consultants, contractors, and end users
• Mitigate project risks, manage deficiencies, and address estimate changes as required
• Visit project sites when necessary to monitor progress and support field teams
• Conduct project reviews with foremen and superintendents to identify successes and lessons learned

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Certificate, Electrical Engineering Degree, or Electrical Technologist Diploma
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in electrical project management and/or estimating
• Experience preparing estimates or managing change orders
• Experience with commercial electrical service work considered an asset
• FSR B designation considered an asset
• Experience with Accubid estimating software considered an asset
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
• Proficiency with MS Office, Teams, Procore, and related project tools
