MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager with construction experience to work on a 1-year contract with high renewal potential for our client – one of BC’s largest employers and clean energy companies.

In this role, you will lead low to medium risk infrastructure and construction projects from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and with quality outcomes. You will coordinate cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage infrastructure and other construction project activities across the project lifecycle.
• Develop project plans, risk management plans, and budgets for projects with capital costs up to $20 million.
• Monitor project progress, create reports, action logs, communication plans, and post-implementation reviews.
• Manage multiple project components including quality assurance, engineering, stakeholder engagement, regulatory approvals, procurement, planning, construction management, pre-commissioning, and safety.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders including customers, engineers, and field crews to ensure timely project progression.
• Apply project management principles to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum five (5) years of project management experience or equivalent.
• Strong experience in stakeholder relationship management.
• Excellent analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of project management practices.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and support team members under tight deadlines.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong collaboration skills.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is an asset.
• Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Intermediate MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Advanced English skills, both written and verbal.

Work Arrangement:

• Hybrid model based out of Burnaby, BC (local candidates preferred).
