MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Property Accountant to join our client, a rapidly growing Surrey-based property management firm with a strong pipeline of new commercial assets across Metro Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and onboard new commercial properties and lease agreements in Yardi
• Prepare monthly reporting packages for assigned portfolio
• Manage cash receipts and support A/R collections
• Assist with month-end close including journal entries, accruals, and A/P approvals
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Complete monthly bank and GL reconciliations
• Review and analyze operating expenses for accuracy and variances
• Support annual budgeting alongside Property Managers
• Prepare annual CAM/recovery reconciliations
• Act as a financial partner to Property Managers, providing insights and guidance
• Support audits and financial reporting requirements
• Mentor junior/intermediate team members as needed

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of Yardi Voyager experience preferred
• 8–10+ years of commercial property accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio independently, including onboarding new properties
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
