About the Company
Our client is a rapidly growing electrical contractor with a strong presence across construction and service projects throughout the Lower Mainland. With approximately 130 employees and continued growth, they offer a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong construction culture and modern approach to operations.
They are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team in Langley. This role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, thrives in a high-volume environment, and has strong experience using Accubid.
Position Overview
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project estimates for a variety of electrical construction projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the tendering and pre-construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate estimates
- Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontracted scopes
- Prepare detailed bid packages and project proposals
- Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients throughout the estimating process
- Maintain historical costing data and estimating records for future reference
- Support project handoff and transition from estimating to project execution
- Ensure estimates align with project scope, timelines, and budget requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical estimating or a related role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and applicable codes
- Proficiency with estimating software, particularly Accubid
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Electrical trade background, Red Seal certification, technologist diploma, or engineering education considered an asset
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time, permanent position
- 40-hour work week
- Two (2) weeks paid vacation annually
- One (1) week paid sick leave annually

- Reimbursement for approved business-related expenses in accordance with company policy
Work Location
This position is based full-time out of the company’s office in Langley, BC.
Some travel may be required depending on project and operational needs.
