Senior Estimator – Okanagan, BC

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its team in the Okanagan. This role is responsible for leading estimates across a variety of project types and delivery methods, working closely with operations, project teams, clients, consultants, and trade partners.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to take ownership of projects and play a key role in pre-construction planning and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, quantity takeoffs, and bid submissions
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Develop scopes of work and maintain strong relationships with trade partners
• Participate in client meetings, project interviews, and pre-construction planning
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with operations and project teams throughout the estimating process
• Mentor junior estimators and support the development of estimating best practices

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in commercial, institutional, or industrial construction
• Ideally 8+ years of estimating experience
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, costing, and procurement
• Experience preparing estimates for a variety of contract types and project delivery models
• Proficiency with estimating and construction software (InEight, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work full-time in the Okanagan office
• Relocation assistance may be available for an exceptional candidate
• Existing relationships with local subcontractors and knowledge of the Okanagan market are highly preferred
