MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent for a well-established Western Canadian general contractor delivering commercial and industrial projects throughout Prince George and the Central Interior.

The initial project is a steel warehouse build, with the opportunity for continued work on other commercial and industrial projects across Northern BC.

Location: Prince George / Central Interior, BC

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce site health and safety programs in compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements and company policies
• Direct and coordinate all site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers and internal crews
• Oversee site layout, elevations and surveying
• Manage scheduling, sequencing and progress tracking
• Conduct site orientations, hazard assessments and daily reporting
• Ensure construction complies with approved drawings, specifications and applicable codes
• Maintain quality-control standards throughout the project
• Chair regular subcontractor coordination meetings
• Review drawings, specifications and shop drawings for accuracy and compliance
• Use site technology and software, including Word, Excel and Outlook; Procore experience is an asset

Qualifications

• Journeyperson certification or post-secondary education in construction or a related field
• Gold Seal Certification is preferred
• Minimum five years of progressive Site Superintendent or field-supervision experience
• Strong commercial or industrial general contracting background
• Experience coordinating multiple scopes, subcontractors and trade partners
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and industry best practices
• Demonstrated commitment to building and enforcing a safety-first culture
• Understanding of contract requirements and construction risk management
• Experience with pre-engineered steel or metal building systems is an asset
• Valid driver’s licence
