MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Project Manager on behalf of a well-established commercial construction company.

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team with a strong pipeline of work and play a key role in delivering high-quality projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects through preconstruction, procurement, execution, and closeout.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, and change orders.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Oversee project schedules, quality control, commissioning, and final handover.
• Chair project meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior leadership.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contract administration.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining schedule and budget objectives.
• Support and mentor Project Coordinators, Assistant Project Managers, and other project team members.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certificate in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of contracts, construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and project controls.
• Experience managing change orders, RFIs, submittals, and subcontractor coordination.
• Familiarity with BIM, Lean construction principles, and other modern construction technologies is an asset.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
