Our client is a well-established Western Canadian general contractor with over 40 years of experience delivering commercial, retail, multifamily, and institutional construction projects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from preconstruction and tendering through completion and turnover.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and procurement activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and schedule performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, trades, and project stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve project issues while maintaining clear communication across all parties.
• Ensure projects meet company safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting using construction management and safety software.
• Support estimating, tendering, and preconstruction activities as required.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams throughout the construction process.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction experience with demonstrated Project Management responsibility.
• Experience managing commercial, industrial, retail, or multifamily wood-frame construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction budgets, scheduling, tendering, contracts, and project administration.
• Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, consultants, clients, and internal teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Experience with construction project management and safety compliance software.
• Grocery or retail construction experience is a strong asset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Previous experience with an established general contractor is preferred.
