Maintenance Technician

Matchbox Consulting is seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of a private residential property in Vancouver.

This is a practical, service-focused role for someone who takes pride in keeping a home well maintained. The successful candidate will be professional, discreet, proactive, and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• Complete day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and handyman tasks throughout the property.
• Troubleshoot minor plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, appliance, and general household issues.
• Conduct regular property walkthroughs and identify maintenance needs before they become larger issues.
• Coordinate external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and keep equipment and storage areas organized.
• Communicate updates, required repairs, and supply needs to the Property Manager.
• Maintain a clean, respectful, and professional work environment at all times.
• Handle all work with a high level of discretion and respect for privacy.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician, Building Operator, Handyman, Caretaker, or in a similar residential/property maintenance role.
• Strong general repair ability across multiple trades.
• Able to assess what can be handled independently and when a qualified contractor is required.
• High-end residential, hospitality, private estate, or service-focused property experience is an asset.
• Reliable, organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
• Professional communication skills and discretion.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel locally as needed.
