Electrical Project Manager / Estimator

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to join an established electrical contractor in Vancouver. With a strong reputation and longstanding industry relationships, our client delivers commercial, industrial and institutional projects.

This role offers involvement in the full project lifecycle: pricing the work, planning delivery, partnering with field teams and managing financial results. It’s an opportunity for someone who enjoys both the commercial and technical sides of electrical construction and wants to see their decisions translate into successful projects.

What you’ll do

• Prepare electrical estimates, submit tenders and price changes throughout construction.

• Review contracts, identify risks and develop practical plans for project delivery.

• Manage budgets, financial performance, progress billing, procurement and schedules.

• Coordinate labour requirements and execution with foremen, superintendents and project teams.

• Maintain strong client and industry relationships, identifying opportunities for future work.

• Visit project sites as required to review progress, resolve issues and keep delivery on track.

• Lead project closeout, including deficiencies, as-built drawings, manuals and final documentation.

• Review completed projects with field leadership to identify successes and improvements.

What you bring

• An electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate.

• At least three years of electrical project management and/or estimating experience.

• Experience taking multiple construction projects from startup through closeout.

• The ability to interpret project documents, manage costs and coordinate competing priorities.

• Clear communication, sound judgment and a collaborative approach with clients and field teams.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and familiarity with construction tools such as Procore, AutoCAD and Teams.

• Experience with Accubid Pro and Change Order is an asset.
