MatchBox Consulting Group is currently recruiting for our client, a leading company in the logistics and transportation sector based in Surrey, BC. We are seeking an experienced AP/AR Supervisor to join their growing accounting team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to step into a leadership role within a fast-paced, dynamic industry.

Reporting to the Controller, the AP/AR Supervisor will oversee all accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness. The role will manage a small team, support month-end close processes, maintain account reconciliations, and foster strong internal and external relationships

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily AP and AR operations, including invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliations.
• Review and approve invoices, freight bills, and vendor payments with attention to transportation documentation.
• Manage credit applications, resolve client billing issues, and oversee dispute resolution.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting, aging analysis, and monthly financial reporting.
• Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and sales teams to address billing discrepancies.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and implement AP/AR best practices.
• Mentor and train accounting clerks and junior staff.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of AP/AR experience, preferably within trucking, logistics, or transportation industries.
• Strong knowledge of freight billing practices and logistics documentation.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
