Matchbox Consulting is searching for an Architect for our client, a medium sized firm that provides high quality Architecture, Interior Design and Planning. They specialize in commercial, mixed use, tech industrial, and bio-medical projects. They offer competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process for commercial projects, from conceptualization to completion, ensuring alignment with client requirements, budget constraints, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and design criteria.
• Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions that enhance functionality, aesthetics, and user experience while meeting project objectives and budgetary constraints.
• Prepare and present design proposals, including conceptual sketches, 3D visualizations, and presentation materials, to clients and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents using Revit software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions, monitor construction progress, and ensure compliance with design intent, building codes, and quality standards.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members, including architectural interns and designers, fostering their professional development and ensuring the quality of project deliverables.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in commercial architecture, and incorporate relevant advancements into project designs.
• Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, proposal.

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in North America
• Must have a high level of design capability and project management experience.
• Previous experience in Commercial/ICI projects.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Must be willing to draw.
• Comprehensive understanding of Building Code and civic planning processes.
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Contract Administration experience.
