Matchbox Consulting Group is working with a well-established developer-builder, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the successful delivery of a wood-frame multi-family project in White Rock, BC. This is a great opportunity to join a company known for its quality projects and strong pipeline of upcoming developments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily site operations and ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate with subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to maintain workflow and resolve any on-site issues
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local building codes
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality control
- Maintain project documentation, including site reports and safety records
- Support site logistics, material deliveries, and scheduling of trades
- Participate in site meetings and provide updates on construction progress
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in construction, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Experience with wood-frame multi-family projects is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, site safety, and quality control
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to work effectively with trades, consultants, and site teams
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 or willingness to obtain
