Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a BIM Technician in Burnaby, BC to join a well-established, Vancouver-based structural engineering firm known for its work on commercial, multi-residential, light industrial, and mass timber projects throughout Canada. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural design drawings and 3D models in Revit and AutoCAD that meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of all drawings and models delivered by the drafting team.
• Support and mentor junior technicians, providing technical guidance and helping them grow their BIM skills.
• Stay up to date with new software, tools, and workflows, and introduce improvements to the drafting process.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure all deliverables follow BIM best practices.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical issues related to BIM modelling and project coordination.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and requirements are met on time and to a high standard.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a BIM Technician or in a similar drafting role
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes and industry standards
• Diploma or degree in Architectural, Engineering, or Drafting Technology (or related field)
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide and mentor others
