We are currently seeking an experienced?Bridge Construction Inspector?to join a leading infrastructure consulting team in?Edmonton, Alberta. This hybrid position requires 3 days/week in office, with the ability and willingness to travel and support inspection projects in rural Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct bridge construction inspections in accordance with Section A.2 of the Bridge Construction Inspection Manual (Volume 3) and Section 11 of the Engineering Consulting Guidelines (Volume 1)
  • Ensure project compliance through vigilant on-site inspections, documentation, and contractor coordination
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure timely, quality delivery of infrastructure projects
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders involved in the construction process

Required Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Bridge Construction Inspector on major or standard bridge projects (ATEC or similar client experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with Alberta Transportation standards and guidelines
  • Strong understanding of bridge inspection protocols and contract document interpretation
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Operator’s License (company vehicle provided)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registration with ASET or APEGA
  • Experience working with municipalities or provincial transportation authorities
  • Exposure to crown corporation or public sector infrastructure environments

  • Urban interchanges and pedestrian bridges
  • Rural and river crossings
  • Structural concrete projects and culvert replacements
  • Ongoing construction in collaboration with cities, counties, and transportation agencies
