MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Business Analyst for a 6 month contract role with a client of ours located in Vancouver.

Responsibilities:

• Leading discovery across Brand Technology initiatives, including capability mapping, current-state assessments, and identification of future-state platform opportunities using effective business analysis techniques
• Creating and maintaining detailed documentation on a variety of projects and systems
• Developing empathy for the guest and the end-user — including the internal creative, brand, and content teams we serve — by incorporating Human Centered Design principles and journey mapping
• Consulting with stakeholders and acting as a conduit between stakeholders and development squads
• Facilitating and managing stakeholder expectations and engagement
• Translating business requirements into detailed and actionable specifications and requirements documents, calling out dependencies where relevant
• Collaborating efficiently and effectively by building strong relationships with cross-functional teams within the overall technology department and across the business
• Mapping current Brand Technology capabilities and platforms, and evaluating them against industry-leading solutions to identify opportunities for enhancement, replacement, or retirement
• Partnering with Product, Architecture, and business stakeholders to assess platform gaps, define future-state capabilities, and support technology roadmap decisions
• Creating understandable visual representations to communicate complex concepts and models for various target audiences, including leadership level
• Documenting detailed user stories, process flows, systems and integration diagrams, and acceptance criteria that will be used for business process review, systems architecture, web development, quality assurance, and change management
• Working with stakeholders and development squads to plan, groom, and prioritise the product backlog to ensure work focuses on features that align with business priorities
• Organizing and facilitating user acceptance testing with business users
• Supporting the testing and validation of system changes to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver the desired outcomes
• Identifying and documenting current and future business processes, changes, and improvements to facilitate change management
• Maintaining process and system documentation as business and systems evolve

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst, working on Agile projects related to e-commerce, retail & omni-channel
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a dynamic, iterative development environment. You must be able to quickly absorb new and different types of information, modify and adapt existing knowledge, and work in a changing and evolving environment, to ensure successful project discovery & delivery
• You are proficient in using business analysis tools and software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders to be able to explain, articulate, and document concepts, business processes, systems and business requirements efficiently
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills while managing multiple, competing priorities
• Excel in analytics and problem-solving. You are a critical thinker who enjoys diving into the details and seeking to understand the “how” and “why”!
• Able to work independently, biasing towards action to drive projects forward. You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
• Hands-on experience with DAM, PIM, CMS, or marketing technology platforms (e.g., Aprimo, Akeneo, Bynder, Adobe Experience Manager) would be a strong asset
• History working with, implementing and evaluating marketing AI tools and capabilities
• Having experience working with a breadth of systems and integrations would be a strong asset
