Our client is seeking a Buyer to join their Surrey team within the building materials sector. Reporting to a supportive and experienced leader, you will join a collaborative team of four. The Surrey operation supports seven product line markets across approximately 80 sites, offering exposure to a wide range of commodities and day-to-day variety.
This role is well-suited for someone with ambition and a track record of growth. The team is looking for a candidate interested in developing beyond the Buyer level, with strong examples of internal progression from this position.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for multiple operational sites.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business contacts.
• Support sourcing activities and supplier engagement.
• Apply procurement processes and policies to support cost savings and value creation.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities and support informed purchasing decisions.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Contribute actively to team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

• Experience & Background
• Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, or supply chain.
• Open to strong new graduates with relevant co-op or internship experience.
• Exposure to construction, mining, manufacturing, or industrial environments is an asset.
