MatchBox Consulting is looking for a Civil Designer in Calgary, AB. Our client is an independent engineering consultancy specializing in site development services such as grading and stormwater management. They excel in adapting to project challenges while providing cost-effective solutions for both residential and commercial developments. With strong professional relationships and expertise in regulatory processes, including Development Permits and DSSP, they streamline approvals, minimizing revisions and resubmissions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Engineers to develop grading, servicing, and stormwater management plans.
• Assess site plans, survey plans, block profiles, coversheets, and other essential documents for land development.
• Utilize AutoCAD/Civil 3D software to generate comprehensive drawing sets for submission to municipal jurisdictions.
• Foster coordination among team members and external consultants to address design challenges effectively.

Requirements

• 5 years of proficient experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D design software.
• Demonstrate strong computer literacy.
• Exhibit fundamental knowledge of standards for DSSP and Construction Drawings.
• Display excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of following instructions, working independently, or collaborating effectively within a team.
