Matchbox Consulting is on the hunt for a Civil Field Review Engineer, to work out of Calgary, AB. Our client is a leading construction and infrastructure development company known for delivering large-scale projects across Canada. With a strong reputation in the industry, they offer exciting opportunities for skilled professionals to contribute to high-impact projects in mining, energy, and heavy civil construction.

Requirements:

• P.Eng designation valid in Alberta.
• Minimum 5 years of Field Review Engineer (FRE) experience.
• Extensive experience in highway construction, including earthwork, concrete, pavement structures, and drainage.
• Strong knowledge of road profiles, alignment geometrics, and grading.
• Familiarity with Internationally Recognized Codes & Standards and experience with transportation clients.

Responsibilities:

• Review inspection and testing reports for civil works.
• Verify design changes are properly approved and documented.
• Ensure compliance with contract technical requirements and record site observations.
• Identify and report non-conformance issues.
• Certify completed work by stamping compliance certificates.
