MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a hands-on Civil Project Manager with proven experience in wastewater and bridge projects to join our client, a leading general contractor in Canada specializing in civil and critical infrastructure projects.

In this role, you will lead impactful civil projects all across BC with an employee-owned contractor that values innovation, collaboration, and ownership. You’ll manage everything from bridges to wastewater systems, driving projects from concept through maintenance in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil construction projects ($5M–$50M), including wastewater and bridge works, from inception through maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Apply progressive design-build, construction management (CM), and collaborative project delivery (IPD) methods.
• Ensure compliance with contracts (CCDC-5 A/B, CCDC-14, CCDC-30) and industry standards.
• Travel to project sites as needed and actively participate in on-site problem-solving.
• Foster strong client and stakeholder relationships while maintaining accountability for project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project roles (coordinator to PM) with a mid-size or large general contractor.
• Solid civil construction PM experience, specifically in wastewater and bridges.
• Experience managing projects from beginning to end, including maintenance.
• Prefer project sizes between $5M–$50M.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Collaborative, self-motivated, confident communicator who thrives in a team-focused environment.
• Minimum 3 years tenure at previous employers; preference for candidates from recognized GCs
• Entrepreneurial mindset, innovative, and committed to delivering results.
