Are you a Construction Manager with industrial construction experience, specifically electrical and high voltage? 

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Construction Manager to work on a 6 month contract, with renewal potential, for one of BC's largest energy companies. This CM will be in charge of supporting the install and commission of 500MW generator neutral Current Transformer(s) and three single-phase 500KV Circuit Breakers.

This position is a 4 day on, 3 day off rotation, and candidates must live within a 250km drive of Revelstoke, BC. Accommodations, meals, and gas will be reimbursed.

The ideal candidate shall have experience with:
1) installing, testing and commissioning high voltage electrical equipment.
2) administering complex construction or supply and install contracts including RFP development and claim mitigation.

Scope of Work

• Coordinate internal construction resources to:
• Install and commission 500MW generator neutral Current Transformer(s)
• Install and commission three (3) single-phase 500kV Circuit Breakers

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and schedule outage requirements
• Plan and schedule isolation requirements and internal operation resource needs
• Develop construction schedule with internal construction resources
• Develop commissioning plan
• Manage small team of Construction Officers to oversee safety, environmental, and quality requirements
• Administer Construction; and Supply and Install Contracts, if required

Requirements

• Experience leading small teams of individuals
• Experience in industrial construction settings
• Electrical and high voltage experience
• A minimum fifteen (15) years of construction management experience or equivalent
• RFP development experience is an asset
• Contract management and administration experience is an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
