MatchBox Consulting is seeking a skilled Construction Officer to coordinate and inspect multiple construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure that work, materials, progress, and costs meet project expectations while maintaining high safety standards.

Contract: 6 months (with potential for extension)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and inspect civil, electrical, and mechanical construction projects

• Ensure materials, progress, and costs align with project plans

• Conduct site inspections, testing, surveying, and estimating activities

• Enforce work site safety and perform Safe Work Observations

• Support contract and work order administration with contractors and internal teams

• Provide expert advice on technical issues and respond professionally to inquiries

Requirements – Must Have:

• 10+ years as a certified Red Seal Electrician with utility experience

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license in good standing

• Good computer skills, including MS Office (Excel)

• Willingness to work at various remote sites throughout BC

Requirements – Nice to Have:

• Intermediate First Aid Certification

• Substation construction experience

• Knowledge of Site Safety Coordination and Multi Employer Workplace WorkSafe regulations
