MatchBox Consulting is on the hunt for a Construction Site Coordinator to work out of the lower mainland, BC. This candidate will act as a site coordinator and inspector on civil, electrical, and/or mechanical utility projects. The role ensures that work, materials, progress, and costs meet standards, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Duration: 1 year
Location: Lower Mainland BC

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and coordinate municipal utility construction with a focus on duct bank installation.
• Ensure site safety through Safe Work Observations and compliance with OSH and WorkSafe BC standards.
• Support site testing, surveying, and estimating.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams for contract/work order execution.
• Provide technical advice and respond to construction inquiries.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of construction experience (civil, electrical, or mechanical).
• Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology OR relevant trades/apprenticeship.
• Municipal utility installation experience with a focus on duct bank installation.
• Training in contract law (asset).
• Excellent knowledge of safety regulations.
• Advanced written and spoken English skills.
• Physically able to access work areas via scaffolding.
• Must provide 4×4 vehicle for site use.
• Flexibility to work weekends, afternoons, or night shifts as required.

Nice to Have:

• Contract and claims management experience.
