MatchBox Consulting is on the hunt for a Contract manager. The Contract Professional is responsible for managing high-complexity contracts to ensure projects and ongoing operations are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role works closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, legal, and procurement stakeholders while providing senior-level guidance on contract strategy, compliance, and performance.

Contract: 1 year

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end contract management activities for complex goods and services agreements.

• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks or issues, and implement corrective actions.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Provide expert advice on procurement strategy, public sector procurement principles, and contract governance.

• Forecast and report on contract usage and financial controls.

• Lead labour-related program planning, governance, and stakeholder engagement where applicable.

• Prepare executive briefings, decision notes, and performance reports.

• Collaborate with project controls, legal, and procurement teams to align contract and labour requirements with project delivery plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Extensive experience in contract management within large, complex project or infrastructure environments.

• Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract law principles, and risk management.

• Advanced communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Asset

• Certificate in Project Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent, an asset.
