Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking Contract Professionals to work on 1-year contracts, all with high renewal potential, for one of BC's largest utility companies. In this role, you will manage complex contracts to ensure projects and ongoing operations are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will also build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, monitor contract performance, and provide guidance on sourcing, procurement, and contract management best practices.

Location: Burnaby (hybrid) with occasional travel to job sites across BC as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform contract management activities using expert knowledge of contract management practices while working effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Monitor contract performance, identify issues, and take timely action to minimize risk and maximize supplier performance.

• Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and the supply chain organization through communication, issue resolution, and reporting.

• Forecast, monitor, and report on contract usage to ensure compliance with organizational contract and finance control policies.

• Provide guidance to client groups on sourcing, procurement, and management of goods and services contracts using expertise in public sector procurement law.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

• Minimum 12 years of contract management experience.

• Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken.

• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Proven problem-solving skills.

• Strong capability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

• Ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience managing equipment supply contracts.

• Utility industry experience.

• Prior experience working with SAP.

• SharePoint experience.
