MatchBox Consulting is searching for a Construction Safety Officer for one of Western Canada’s largest and reputable developer-builders. Our client is extremely well-known for their commitment to quality and have been building multiple large residential and industrial projects 70 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforcing safety protocols across all project phases.
- Cultivating a safety-oriented environment on-site.
- Crafting site-specific safety plans and executing hazard assessments.
- Ensuring timely incident reporting.
- Conducting regular site inspections and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitoring safety compliance of laborers and subcontractors.
- Facilitating safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation and generating reports.
- Providing first aid support as necessary.
- Assisting with miscellaneous tasks as required.
Education and Experience
- Certified Construction Safety Officer designation
- Minimum of 2 years Health and Safety experience
- Occupational First Aid Level II (OFA 2)
- Good knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations, policies, guidelines and standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to commute to multiple sites across the Metro Vancouver Area.
