MatchBox Consulting Group is on the hunt for a CAD Drafter. This candidate will create and revise complex 2D and 3D engineering drawings and models to support engineering teams across the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with drafting and engineering standards.

Contract: 6 months

Responsibilities

• Create and revise complex 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models across multiple engineering disciplines.

• Produce associated graphs, diagrams, elevations, profiles, and permit-related drawings.

• Perform calculations for dimensions, elevations, slopes, quantities, clearances, and layouts.

• Review drawings against applicable drafting and engineering standards and identify or correct conflicts and errors.

• Research equipment specifications, related drawings, and standards to resolve drafting issues.

• Prepare and revise drawings to support procurement and tendering activities.

• Organize, manage, and maintain drawings using drawing management systems.

• Contribute to drafting standards, working groups, or technical documentation as needed.

• Provide guidance or on-the-job support to junior drafting staff when required.

Must Haves

• Diploma in drafting or equivalent.

• Minimum four (4) years of drafting experience or equivalent.

• Advanced computer-aided design and drafting skills.

• Experience producing and revising complex engineering drawings and models.

• Strong ability to interpret engineering information and apply drafting standards.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with 3D CAD modeling in utility or infrastructure projects.

• Exposure to multiple engineering disciplines (e.g., civil/structural, electrical, mechanical, telecom).

• Experience supporting procurement or tender drawing packages.
