Electrical Foreman

On behalf of our client, MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Foreman to oversee field crews on water and wastewater treatment plant construction and upgrade projects. The successful candidate will lead day-to-day site operations, coordinate with project management, and ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate crews of journeyman and apprentice electricians on industrial job sites.

• Plan and schedule daily work to meet project milestones and quality standards.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control schematics.

• Oversee conduit installation, cable pulls, MCC and control panel wiring, and process equipment terminations.

• Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, and other trades to maintain workflow.

• Enforce company and WorkSafeBC safety standards and lead daily safety meetings.

• Track labour, materials, and production for reporting to project management.

• Mentor apprentices and promote a positive, productive team environment.

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician (or TQ recognized in BC).

• Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.

• Proven background in water and wastewater treatment plant construction or upgrades.

• Strong understanding of motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and process instrumentation.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and clean driving record.

• Current safety certifications (e.g., Fall Protection, WHMIS, CSTS, First Aid) are assets.
