Electrical Foreman / Electrical Superintendent

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an Electrical Foreman or Electrical Superintendent for a growing electrical contractor expanding its presence on Vancouver Island, with projects based out of Victoria, BC.

Our client is a well-established electrical contractor delivering work across commercial, institutional, and infrastructure sectors. Known for strong project execution and practical leadership from the field, the company emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficient project delivery, with a leadership team that understands the realities of running work on site.

With a Victoria satellite office now established, the team is actively building its island operations and hiring experienced field leaders to support a strong pipeline of upcoming projects.

Upcoming Work

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on major electrical scopes across several high-profile Vancouver Island projects, including:

• Large multi-storey hospitality development in downtown Victoria

• Major institutional concrete development

• Critical regional infrastructure upgrade

These projects offer the opportunity to lead crews on complex, high-visibility work with strong long-term pipeline potential on the island.

The Role

Depending on experience, candidates may step into a Foreman or Superintendent capacity, leading electrical crews and coordinating work from early construction through commissioning.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading electrical crews and coordinating daily site operations

• Planning manpower, materials, and installation sequencing

• Working closely with project managers, general contractors, and other trades

• Ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard

• Coordinating inspections, commissioning, and project close-out

• Identifying and resolving field challenges to keep work progressing

This is a field leadership role suited to someone who enjoys running projects on site and taking ownership of the work.

What They’re Looking For

• Red Seal Electrician or equivalent trade background preferred

• Strong experience in commercial, institutional, or infrastructure electrical construction

• Experience leading crews as a Foreman, General Foreman, or Electrical Superintendent

• Ability to coordinate trades, manage manpower, and drive site productivity

• Strong communication with project teams and site leadership

• Practical problem-solving skills and pride in delivering quality work
