MatchBox Consulting is on the hunt for an Engineering Project Coordinator. The Candidate applies practical and theoretical engineering knowledge to support low- to medium-complexity projects and operations. The role includes developing safe engineering solutions, conducting design and analysis, coordinating project activities, and supporting quality and compliance standards.

Contract: 1 year

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engineering solutions using judgment and technical expertise.

• Assist project management with planning, scheduling, reporting, and contractor coordination.

• Conduct independent studies, analysis, and on-site quality control tasks.

• Support coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Track project progress, maintain documentation, and support technical reviews and approvals.

• Assist with maintenance programs, warranty documentation, spare parts tracking, and interface coordination.

• Ensure compliance with professional and quality standards.

Requirements:

• University degree in applied science or engineering.

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.), registered or eligible.

• Minimum 4 years’ experience working on or coordinating maintenance or commissioning of industrial equipment.

• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and control/monitoring systems (transformers, switchgear, compressors, pumps, valves, diesel generators, cranes, hydraulic systems, ventilation).

• Proficiency with CAD, standard design/analysis software, and MS Office.

• Intermediate English skills, written and spoken.

• Must be available for hybrid work onsite.

Preferred:

• Experience in project coordination, planning, and tracking for engineering projects.
