We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our Vancouver-based team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate and competitive estimates for commercial construction projects, including interior fit-outs, hospitality, retail, and office spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of commercial construction projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Obtain and review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
• Participate in bid reviews, budget development, and value engineering sessions.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction phase.
• Maintain and update cost databases, unit pricing, and historical data for future reference.
• Support the project team during handoff and throughout the construction process when necessary.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to assess project scope and logistical requirements.

Qualifications/Must haves:

• 3+ years of experience in a construction estimating role, preferably in commercial or interior fit-out projects.
• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, pricing, and industry trends.
• Proficient in estimating software (such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Class D: Conceptual-level cost estimates.
• Class C: Estimates based on schematic design completion.
• Class B: Estimates developed at the end of design development.
• Updated Class B: Periodic updates as construction documents progress.
• Class A: Final pre-tender estimates based on 100% construction documentation
