Overview:
A dynamic and fast-growing construction management company specializing in commercial tenant improvements is looking for a TI Estimator to join their estimating team in New Westminster. The ideal candidate has a strong background in interiors and commercial fit-outs, with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to produce accurate and timely estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial tenant improvement projects across various sectors (office, retail, hospitality, healthcare, etc.).

• Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop accurate quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.

• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and evaluate bids.

• Analyze project risks and provide value engineering recommendations.

• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure alignment between the estimate and the project’s objectives and design intent.

• Maintain accurate records of historical data, pricing, and market trends to improve estimating processes.

• Support bid preparation, proposal documentation, and submission in a timely and professional manner.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and change order pricing as required during project execution.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of estimating experience, preferably in commercial tenant improvements or interior construction.

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, or a related field.

• Familiarity with local building codes, trade practices, and permit processes in British Columbia.

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, systems, and finishes common to commercial interiors.

• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
