We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced ICI Estimator to join our team in Burnaby. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a wide range of industrial, commercial, and institutional construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates (Class A–D) for ICI projects including budgets, tenders, and change orders.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing using estimating software and historical data.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive and complete coverage.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, cost breakdowns, and risk assessments.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings and provide input on constructability, value engineering, and scheduling.
• Support project managers during project execution by tracking costs, providing budget updates, and preparing revisions as needed.
• Maintain strong industry relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Ensure estimates align with company standards, building codes, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of estimating experience in industrial, commercial, or institutional construction.
• Proven ability to estimate a wide range of project types and sizes.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local market pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Planswift, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Diploma/Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
