Estimator – Commercial Construction

Matchbox consulting is on the hunt for a Commercial or ICI Estimator in Calgary, AB. Our client specializes in delivering high-quality commercial, industrial, and institutional projects with precision and efficiency. With decades of experience, they have built a strong reputation for excellence, tackling everything from large-scale developments to complex tenant improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate estimates and proposals for commercial construction projects up to $20M.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subtrades, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Manage multiple project bids and ensure timely submission of proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate cost projections and budgeting.
• Analyze historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of estimating experience with a General Contractor.
• Industry Knowledge: Proven ability to estimate commercial construction projects, including retail, office, industrial, and institutional developments.
• Technical Skills: Strong mathematical and analytical abilities; proficiency in estimating software.
• Deadline Management: Ability to handle multiple proposal deadlines with accuracy.
• Bonus Assets: Existing relationships with architects, construction managers, and subcontractors; experience in civil estimating or technical/trade background.
