MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for an experienced Field Operations Manager to join our client, a leading integrated development, design, and construction firm in Western Canada. You will lead on-site construction teams and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This role offers hands-on leadership across multiple large-scale projects, from preconstruction planning through close-out, and the opportunity to shape the processes and culture of a high-performing construction team. Responsibilities:

• Lead project site teams, collaborating with Superintendents and senior staff to meet safety, schedule, and budget targets.
• Participate in preconstruction planning, including design review, scheduling, budgeting, and staffing.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor milestones, and implement corrective action plans when required.
• Oversee budgets, manage general conditions, and support profitability objectives.
• Ensure design and client quality standards are consistently met across all projects.
• Implement and enforce safety programs, maintaining a strong safety culture on site.
• Manage project administration: daily reports, IFC drawings, shop drawings, change orders, and documentation.
• Mentor and develop site team personnel, tracking career progression and training needs.
• Oversee project close-out, ensuring completion of deficiency lists and project documentation.
• Support team well-being and foster a collaborative, productive work environment.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in construction management with a design-build or general contracting background.
• Trade qualification, diploma, or degree in Engineering, Construction, or Project Management.
• Experience in site logistics, scheduling software (e.g., CM Builder), estimating, and construction administration.
• Strong knowledge of Provincial Building Codes, building envelope, Timberline, and contract law.
• Supervisory experience, ideally having worked as a Superintendent.
• Gold Seal certification is an asset.
• Proven record managing large ICI projects from start to finish.
