MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Front-End Developer for a permanent position with a client of ours located in Vancouver. This is an on-site position 4 days per week (one day remote) in the companies Mount Pleasant based office.

What's the job?

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Front-End Developer with 7+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. You will be at the forefront of designing and building modern, high-performance web applications, collaborating closely with product teams, designers, and other developers.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications using Typescript, React, and Node.js.
• Work collaboratively with UX/UI designers to create a seamless user experience.
• Design and implement reusable, modular, and efficient code.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability, ensuring the highest performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex front-end issues.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and other services.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies, frameworks, and trends.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and agile development cycles.
• Continuously improve front-end development practices and processes.

Required Qualifications:
 

• 7+ years of professional experience as a Front-End Developer.
• Proficiency in Typescript, React, and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ES6+).
• Experience with front-end build tools and version control systems (Webpack, Git, etc.).
• Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX, or Context API).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with back-end services.
• Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design principles.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and libraries (e.g., Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library).
• Solid understanding of software design principles, code modularization, and design patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and containerization (GCP environment) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
