Our Burnaby, BC based client is seeking Guidewire Developer for Policy & Billing Center for a 12-month contract opportunity. The contract would commence in March 2026 and run through March 2027 with a possibility of further renewal. They are hiring for 1 position in total. This is a hybrid role based out of Burnaby, BC office (3 on-site Tues, Wed, Thurs  / 2 remote days Monday and Friday)

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer with strong expertise in PolicyCenter and BillingCenter to join our team on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, customization, and support of Guidewire solutions within a collaborative, agile environment. This role is based in Burnaby, BC, with a hybrid work model requiring on-site presence three days per week.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Design, develop, configure, and customize Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter components

• Implement business requirements using Gosu, Guidewire configuration tools, and integration frameworks

• Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems using web services (SOAP/REST), messaging, and APIs

• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions

• Perform unit testing, support system testing, and assist with defect resolution

• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to Guidewire and organizational best practices

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing Guidewire applications

• Support deployment activities and provide post-implementation support as needed

• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

Required Qualifications
 

• 5+ years of experience as a Guidewire Developer

• Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter (v9+ preferred)

• Strong proficiency in Gosu, Guidewire rules, PCF, and data model configuration

• Experience with Guidewire integrations (web services, messaging, plugins)

• Solid understanding of Property & Casualty insurance business processes

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
 

• Guidewire Certification(s) in PolicyCenter and/or BillingCenter

• Experience with ClaimCenter

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
