MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a seasoned Health & Safety Officer for our client based in Pitt Meadows, a leading mechanical contractor with over 40 years of experience delivering large-scale residential, commercial, institutional, and healthcare projects. This position reports to the Health & Safety Manager and is a long-term, full-time opportunity for a site-based to drive culture, compliance, and care across major projects. Responsibilities
•    Promote a collaborative, safety-first culture on active construction sites
•    Partner with the Health & Safety Manager to support the COR-certified Occupational Health & Safety program
•    Oversee WorkSafe BC claims, LTD, Leave of Absence, and Return to Work processes in partnership with HR
•    Conduct regular site visits, hazard assessments, inspections, and incident investigations
•    Facilitate safety meetings, JOHS participation, and documentation of all incidents and corrective actions
•    Identify, document, and correct unsafe acts or conditions; implement preventative measures
•    Keep safety programs current and compliant with WorkSafe BC and OH&S legislation
•    Administer first aid as needed and help enhance Job Hazard Analyses and Safe Work Practices

Requirements
•    Certified CSO designation (required)
•    Intermediate First Aid (required)
•    3+ years of CSO experience in high-rise or multi-residential construction
•    Strong knowledge of BCCSA COR and BC WorkSafe regulations
•    Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license and personal vehicle
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SiteDocs experience is an asset
•    CSP, CRSP, or Gold Seal Certification is considered a strong asset
•    Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
