MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Health and Safety Manager on behalf of a leading engineering and environmental consulting firm with operations across BC. Known for their collaborative team culture and strong community values, they are looking for a health and safety leader to support their growing operations from either Kelowna or Vancouver. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to shape safety practices across a multi-office, multidisciplinary environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee the design and rollout of internal safety programs across multiple locations
- Provide practical training and mentorship to promote safe practices in the field
- Lead incident reviews and develop prevention-focused recommendations
- Work closely with teams to embed safety into day-to-day operations
- Track performance metrics and adjust strategies based on trends and results
- Maintain relationships with regulators and ensure all protocols meet current standards
What we’re looking for:
- A degree or diploma related to health and safety, risk, or a relevant field
- CRSP certification and a strong understanding of local legislation
- Experience leading safety initiatives in technical or field-based environments
- A hands-on approach with the ability to engage across departments
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to shifting site needs
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel periodically to job sites
