Matchbox Consulting Group is searching for an Industrial Electrician on behalf of our client, an organization that specializes in industrial systems and automated technology. As an industial electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical systems are functioning optimally, supporting safe and efficient operations. You will work alongside other skilled tradespeople to support the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, machinery, and electrical components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in an industrial environment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Install and maintain wiring systems, conduit, and control panels.
• Work with other maintenance teams to resolve issues that may impact production.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and downtime, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Keep detailed records of work performed, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with the latest electrical technologies and industry practices.

Qualifications:

• Red Seal certification as an electrician (journeyman).
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, and controls.
• Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures, electrical codes, and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
