Matchbox Consulting is searching for an Intermediate Electrical Technologist for our client. The Intermediate Electrical Technologist will support the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems in a variety of projects. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with engineering teams to ensure efficient and safe electrical system operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for projects.
• Prepare electrical schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
• Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform site inspections and ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve system performance and resolve issues.
• Support the preparation of project documentation, including technical reports and specifications.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, coordinating with internal teams and contractors.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and other team members.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years professional experience registered as an AScT as an Electrical Technologist
• Performed Building Condition Assessment and/or Depreciation Report/Reserve Fund Studies
• Registered or eligible for registration in ASTTBC or similar designation.
• Familiarity with the electrical engineering environment for the detailed design drawings, tender package specifications, feasibility studies, budget estimates, shop drawing reviews, commissioning, and condition assessments.
• An extensive understanding of building construction and building electrical systems.
• Dtailed working knowledge of the BC Building Code and the National Building Code of Canada.
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
