MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client in Vancouver.

They are an established engineering firm known for their expertise in providing innovative and sustainable solutions across a wide range of sectors, including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering. With a track record of successful projects and a commitment to client satisfaction, our client continues to be a trusted leader in the industry.

This individual will provide technical expertise on projects, act as a mentor to Junior Engineers, and work with others to increase the overall technical capability regarding projects. 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with team lead, project manager, and engineering manager to ensure timely project completion.
• Communicate effectively with the project manager, collecting and coordinating crucial information.
• Modify and apply engineering standards innovatively, identifying new approaches to mechanical engineering.
• Resolve technical issues, cost implications, and conflicts in construction, offering effective solutions and options.
• Support quality control, calculate cost opinions, change orders, and earned value.
• Prepare engineering designs and specifications for various aspects such as HVAC, energy analysis, plumbing, and sustainable design.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ years of relevant experience, including work with Commercial, Institutional, and Light Industrial buildings.
• P.Eng. status with appropriate provincial association
• Proficiency with AutoCAD a Revit
