A well-established and fast-paced construction firm is seeking a driven Intermediate Project Manager to join their Edmonton office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in commercial construction to take the lead on high-profile projects and grow within a collaborative, hands-on team environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects ranging from $50K to $30M.
• Create and maintain project schedules and budgets using tools like MS Project.
• Lead project meetings, coordinate subcontractors, and manage communications across stakeholders.
• Review and negotiate change orders, contracts, and project documentation.
• Oversee quality control and health & safety processes.
• Handle project closeout activities including walkthroughs and service follow-ups.
• Support estimating, sub-trade tendering, and financial reporting as needed.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date project files and tracking logs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction experience, including 5+ years specifically managing commercial construction projects (e.g., office, retail, institutional, or mixed-use developments).
• Degree or diploma in construction, engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Alberta building codes and standards.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and general construction software.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Strong track record delivering projects on time, on budget, and within scope.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as P.Eng., CET, PMP, or Gold Seal.
• Experience with estimating or tenant improvement projects.
• Knowledge of project accounting, cost forecasting, and proposal development.
