MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an M&E Design Manager for our client, a leading real estate developer specializing in high-rise residential and mixed-use projects.

The M&E Design Manager will oversee the mechanical and electrical design process, ensuring seamless integration of building systems from concept to completion. This role provides the opportunity to work on landmark developments, collaborating with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver efficient and innovative building solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the design and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for high-rise residential and mixed-use projects.
• Oversee consultants to ensure design intent aligns with project objectives, budgets, and schedules.
• Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and construction teams to optimize building performance.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, sustainability requirements, and industry best practices.
• Support value engineering efforts to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Provide technical expertise during construction, resolving M&E-related issues and RFIs.
• Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates on design progress, risks, and solutions.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in M&E design and coordination for high-rise or large-scale developments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Experience managing external consultants and working with contractors during construction.
• Familiarity with building codes, LEED/BOMA requirements, and energy efficiency strategies.
• Ability to problem-solve and coordinate complex systems within tight project timelines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
