MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Preconstruction Manager for our client, a leading general contractor specializing in the construction of highrise developments and large-scale master-planned communities across the Lower Mainland.
The Preconstruction Manager you will oversee all preconstruction activities from concept through to construction start. Working closely with ownership groups, consultants, and internal departments, you will be responsible for managing design development, budgeting, value engineering, and scheduling efforts to ensure project goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead preconstruction planning on highrise and master-plan developments.

Develop and manage budgets, cost plans, and procurement strategies.

Coordinate with consultants, architects, and engineers during design phases.

Conduct constructability reviews and identify value-engineering opportunities.

Prepare detailed construction schedules and assist with tendering and trade selection.

Present updates and reports to senior leadership and clients.

Collaborate with the operations team to ensure a seamless project handoff.
Qualifications:

7+ years of progressive construction experience, with at least 3 in a preconstruction leadership role.

Strong knowledge of highrise building systems and development processes.

Excellent budgeting, scheduling, and communication skills.

Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
