MatchBox Consulting is on the hunt for a Procurement specialist. This onsite Procurement Manager role supports a large industrial operation in Exshaw, Alberta and is responsible for executing procurement and sourcing strategies at the site level. The position works closely with category management and local stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant, and value-driven procurement of goods and services that support operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and execute procurement and category strategies at the site level

• Manage operational and tactical sourcing of local goods and services

• Lead supplier sourcing, negotiation, onboarding, and performance management

• Ensure contract implementation and compliance with corporate standards

• Identify cost-saving, risk-reduction, and process improvement opportunities

• Track and report procurement performance using KPIs and established templates

• Collaborate with cross-functional technical and operational teams

• Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards

Key Requirements

• University degree (Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering preferred)

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience (sourcing, category management, or operations)

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

• Experience working in cross-functional, high-pressure environments

• Proficiency with SAP, MS Office, and Google Suite

• Willingness to work onsite in Exshaw, AB and comply with all safety and PPE requirements

• Experience in a cement or heavy industrial environment considered an asset
