MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Accountant.

You’ll work directly with project managers, development teams, and senior finance to keep major builds on track—from the first shovel to final occupancy. Your Role

• Track and report on project costs, identify variances, and support key decisions
• Prepare project cash flows, cost forecasts, and monthly progress draws
• Build and maintain cost allocation models across complex developments
• Reconcile GL, WIP, and inventory with precision
• Support quarterly reporting, audits, and financial statements
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure clean execution
• Support the month-end close process and help drive continuous improvement

Your Background

• 3+ years in project accounting within construction or development
• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
• CPA (or working toward it) preferred
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Timberline (Sage 300), CaseWare a plus
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing competing priorities
• Able to communicate clearly across departments and timeline
