MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Coordinator in Burnaby, BC! Our client is a highly respected construction firm with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Known for its commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and efficient project delivery, out client prides itself on maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution from start to finish.

As a Project Coordinator, you will assist in managing all phases of construction projects and support project managers by tracking project progress, budgets, and ensuring adherence to timelines while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the coordination and management of all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through to completion.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs (Request for Information), submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
• Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members to address issues and resolve challenges.
• Coordinate and schedule project meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
• Maintain project schedules, track milestones, and update timelines to ensure that deadlines are met.
• Assist with project budgets by tracking expenses and helping to manage costs, including reviewing invoices and submitting for approval.
   

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered
• 3+ years of experience in Earthworks or Civil Construction
• Strong knowledge of construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• First Aid/CPR certification is preferred
• Red Seal or PMP certification is a strong asset.
