MatchBox Consulting is seeking a Project Coordinator for our client, an influential multifamily wood frame developer builder in Vancouver.  

 

The Project Coordinator will be a motivated and technically skilled construction professional responsible for helping the project management team in executing high-quality projects on time and on budget.  

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to project timelines. 

  • Coordinate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals. 

  • Assist in the preparation and administration of project contracts, including subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and change orders. 

  • Monitor contract compliance and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise. 

  • Support the project manager in budget development and monitoring. 

  • Track project expenses, review invoices, and assist in cost forecasting to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints. 

  • Coordinate resources such as labor, materials, and equipment to support project requirements. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of resources and materials to the job site. 

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, project plans, and correspondence. 

  • Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues. 

  • Assist in implementing and monitoring quality assurance processes to ensure that work meets established standards and specifications. 

  • Facilitate communication among project team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Serve as a point of contact for project inquiries and updates, and proactively address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders. 

 

Requirements:  

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multifamily development projects, including overseeing schedules, budgets, and resources effectively. 

  • Clear and effective communication with stakeholders such as architects, engineers, contractors, and internal team members, both verbally and in writing. 

  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes to ensure compliance throughout all project phases. 

  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines, ensuring streamlined project workflows. 

  • Ability to pay close attention to project details, identify potential issues, and solve problems effectively to keep projects on track and within budget. 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
